The Ask
Designing static display ads for Walmart’s supplier brands came with a unique creative puzzle: how do you craft bold, eye-catching designs that tell a product’s story and connect with shoppers when you’re often working with minimal assets, limited photography, or no formal brand toolkit at all?
My Role
I started by immersing myself in each supplier’s world by researching their public brand guidelines, exploring their social channels, and studying their website imagery and tone. This helped me understand the essence of their identity and translate it into Walmart’s digital ad environment.
From there, I built custom layouts that blended the supplier’s personality with Walmart’s design standards. The goal was always the same:
make every ad feel authentic to the brand while standing out in a busy retail space.
Impact
The final designs struck that balance of visually compelling, on-brand, and retail-ready. My campaigns received consistent positive feedback from both Walmart’s internal marketing teams and the supplier partners, reinforcing the power of strategic creativity even within tight brand and asset constraints.
